WebSpy FlowMonitor records Netflow information from supported Cisco® routers to provide an exact log of your Internet usage. This information can be used to reconcile billing with your Internet Service Provider, or charge client sites for bandwidth usage.
FlowMonitor consists of two components, a service and a console. The service works in the background and collects the data that Netflow sends from your Cisco router. It then writes this data to a log file. This log file contains user IP address, site IP address, source port number, destination port number, size, and duration information.
The FlowMonitor console enables you to configure and monitor FlowMonitor services. The console features a traffic chart that enables you to see the amount of traffic flowing through your Cisco router over time.
Key Features
Internet connection byte accounting
The FlowMonitor service creates byte-accurate log files of your Internet usage.
You can then analyze these files using WebSpy Analyzer. FlowMonitor records both
incoming and outgoing data on each configured router interface.
Real-time bandwidth usage chart
When connected to the data capture service, the FlowMonitor management console displays
a chart of your bandwidth usage to instantly identify traffic spikes.
Integration with WebSpy Analyzer
The WebSpy Analyzer series of applications provide a customized analysis for
FlowMonitor log files. You can use WebSpy Analyzer's intuitive drilldown interface
to explore FlowMonitor's data and produce accurate historical reports on your
organization's Internet usage.
Easily Configurable
The FlowMonitor Console provides an easy-to-use interface for configuring all your
FlowMonitor Services.
