WebSpy's flagship data capture software, WebSpy Sentinel, records the activity of multiple protocols on your network, including web, secure web, email, telnet, FTP and POP3. Sentinel can also be configured to capture the full content of these protocols (excludes secure web).

Sentinel works in conjunction with Analyzer, Vantage and Live to provide a complete Internet monitoring solution.

Full content data capture
Sentinel will not only store URLs but has the ability to capture full web content and full email messages - so now you can use Analyzer Premium to see dynamic content web pages and even attachments accessed by your network users. Sentinel can also be configured to log only low-level data without content, such as only the names of web pages visited without content, or the subject lines of emails without the body of emails.

Multi-protocol data capture
Sentinel can capture and log all email, web, secure web, newsgroup, telnet and POP3 information.

Username resolution
Enables accurate monitoring of employees by logging usernames as well as IP addresses.

Separate service & management console
A multi-component system allows multiple installations of Sentinel Service to capture all Internet traffic. The management console enables configuration of all Sentinel services from one computer.

Easy Installation
Sentinel does not need to be installed on every PC on the network. It is designed to be installed in one central location.

Integrates with Analyzer & Live
Import Sentinel log files into WebSpy Analyzer for reporting and analysis. Sentinel can also be used with WebSpy Live to generate alerts in real time when users breach your Internet or email usage policies.

New Features

POP3 and Secure Web
Sentinel 3.2 can now capture data from the POP3 and Secure Web (HTTPS) protocols.

Selective name resolution
Improve Sentinel’s performance and efficiency by specifying the networks you want Sentinel to resolve usernames for (defined by network and subnet masks).

Extended log files
Sentinel now logs bytes sent & received, browser, query and status.

Automatically restarts capture
When you make changes to Sentinel’s data capture settings, you no longer need to manually stop and start the service.

Log per-protocol
You can now configure Sentinel to create one log file per protocol.

Improved performance
Sentinel 3.2 has been optimized to improve capture speed and accuracy.
